• He holds an Honors BSc. from the University of British Columbia. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.Dr. Chen then completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania where he was class president.

• Dr. Chen has received multiple honors, graduating as the Clinician of the Year for his graduating class at the University of Pennsylvania.He has received the Louis Wolf Award for graduating in the top 3 of his class, Hersch Pharmacology Award,and Hinman Research Scholar Award and been inducted into the Mathew Cryer Honor Society.
